Rosalie Stickler

Rosalie Stickler, 78, of Monona, Iowa died Friday, December 27, 2024 at Colonial Manor, Elma, Iowa. She was born March 21, 1946 to David and Edna (Ritter) McDaniel in Farmington, New Mexico. She graduated high school in 1964 in Bloomfield, New Mexico. She also graduated in 1966 from Vocational Nursing School in Phoenix, Arizona receiving her LPN.

Rosalie was united in marriage with Richard Lee Stickler on February 14, 1971 in Glendale, Arizona. Two children were born to this union, Shane and Sheryl. She was a nurse for a long-term care facilities and hospitals in Arizona, Missouri and Iowa for many years until retirement.

Rosalie enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, quilting, flowers, gardening, Native American Art, recipes, cooking and baking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Rosalie is survived by her children, Shane (Sarah) Stickler of Riceville and Sheryl (Tim) Ward of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Paige Alana, Isa Alene and Erik Scott Ward and Case Richard Stickler.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Robert Carl McDaniel, Sebastion “Davey” McDaniel and John Leon McDaniel and in-laws, Ina May Stickler and Perl B. Stickler.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4, 2025 with a visitation from 9-11 am before services at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home, Monona, Iowa with Vicar Craig Moss as the Officiant.

Burial will take place at a later date.
