About Us

The Outlook is the official newspaper of its hometown, Monona, Iowa, as well as Clayton County and the neighboring communities of Farmersburg and Luana.

The offices of The Outlook are located at 104 West Center Street in downtown Monona. The weekly newspaper is published every Wednesday and is available by subscription, in the office and at newsstands in Monona, McGregor and Marquette.

Started in 1999, The Outlook has experienced a number of owners throughout the years. Since January 2015, Mid-America Publishing, headquartered in Hampton, Iowa, has owned and published The Outlook.

Mid-America Publishing owns 31 newspapers and shoppers in Iowa. They include weeklies from neighboring communities Postville (The Herald) and Calmar (The Courier) as well as communities farther afield like Grundy Center and Keota.
