‘Shine Bright for our Kids’ Gala to be held March 14 to benefit Smith and Bulldog Childcare and Learning Centers

The Dr. Clifford C. Smith Childcare and Learning Center in McGregor and the Little Bulldog Childcare and Learning Center in Monona work together to serve the families of Northeast Iowa and Southwestern Wisconsin. These nonprofit centers are the premiere locations for childcare services in McGregor, Monona, Marquette, Farmersburg, Garnavillo, and Waukon in Iowa. They also serve families in Prairie du Chien and Bridgeport, Wisconsin.
Both the Monona and McGregor Centers provide licensed childcare programs for infants beginning at age six weeks and continuing through age 12.
The children participate in a variety of educational and recreational activities that help prepare them for school. The children also have access to an outdoor play area. All staff are CPR and first aid certified.
In order to continue to offer these phenomenal services to the area, the Smith and Bulldog Centers are collaborating to present the “Smith and Bulldog Gala: Shine Bright for our Kids.” The event will be held Saturday, March 14 at Huckleberry’s Restaurant in Prairie du Chien.
Ashley Lograsso, director of the Little Bulldog Center, said, “This will be a night of elegance, connection and purpose as we come together to shine bright for the children. Tickets include an evening of fun, and fundraising to support high-quality early learning and care at out centers.”
The Gala, which is intended to be a formal affair, begins with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. as guests will enjoy mingling with their friends. Dinner, which is included in the ticket price of $50, includes roast beef and chicken, roasted red potatoes, California blend vegetables and a fresh salad.
LoGrasso said, “Those planning to attend are reminded that ticket sales close this Friday, March 6, so be sure to secure your spot before the deadline.”
Groups of eight, who wish to secure a table, may do so for a reduced price of $350.
Other highlights happening at the Gala include, but are not limited to, a silent auction, a live auction, a dessert auction, dancing and a 50/50 raffle. Anyone wishing to donate items for the silent auction is asked to do so before the March 6 deadline.
About the auction items, the director reiterated, “Every bid helps our kids shine brighter.”
All proceeds will directly support The Little Bulldog (Monona) and Dr. Smith (McGregor) Childcare and Learning Centers helping them to maintain sustainability as they continue to provide high-quality care for the children and families they serve.
She concluded by saying, “We can’t wait to gather together for an evening of great food, dancing and community impact. Thank you for shining bright for our kids!”
