Loretta Frances Sautter
MANCHESTER — Loretta Frances Sautter, 74, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024, at her home with her husband by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
A private family inurnment will be Friday, June 21 at t St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester.
She was born on March 20, 1950, in Postville, the daughter of John and Marie (Havlicek) Ambrose. Loretta was raised and educated in Monona and was a 1968 graduate of MFL High School.
On April 4, 1970, Loretta was united in marriage to Terry Sautter at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Monona. Three sons were born to this union. The family resided north of Manchester. Loretta worked at Exide for 36 plus years, retiring in 2016.
Loretta was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and hiking. Loretta also liked working on puzzles and going on daily car drives with Terry. Above all else, Loretta loved her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Terry Sautter of Manchester; two sons, Shane Sautter of Farley, and Chad Sautter of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; four siblings, Caroline Lenth of Elkader, Mary Cuvelier of Waukon, Roger (Vickie) Ambrose of Marion, and Linda Landt of Monona; and several nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Jr. in 1986; and brother, Bob Ambrose.
