Living Faith UMC hosts Heritage Day
The Living Faith United Methodist parish in Monona hosted Heritage Day for the congregation’s shut-ins Sunday, June 2. Shut-ins and their families were able to attend services thanks to the generosity of volunteers who picked them up and brought them to the event. The shut-ins, their families and members of the congregation were treated to a pot luck dinner with birthday cake and ice cream after the church service. There were memories, stories told and pictures shared among those who attended. The shut-ins have long ties to the churches that make up the Living Faith Parish churches in McGregor, Giard and Monona. Attendees included, left to right: Jean Bacon, Dorothy Heins, Edie Baskerville, Donna Starkey, Belva Gramlish, Marilyn Moose and Marge Ewing.
