Eileen June Lembke

Eileen June Lembke, 93, of Monona, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Northgate Care Center in Waukon.
A visitation was held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home in Monona, with a one-hour visitation before services at the church on Saturday. The funeral service was at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, at Faith Lutheran Church in Monona, with Rev. Marshall Hahn as the officiant. Interment followed at Monona Cemetery in Monona.
Eileen was born June 16, 1931, to Eldo and Fredena (Krueger) Schrader on a family farm near Luana. On October 16, 1951, Eileen was united in marriage with Norbert Lembke at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana. Five children were born to this union. Throughout the years, Eileen enjoyed raising the children and being a farm wife. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and belonged to the Ladies Circle. Eileen eventually transferred her church membership to Faith Lutheran in Monona. Together with Norbert, they enjoyed fishing, bowling, traveling with the camper and watching the grandchildren.
Surviving Eileen are her children, Diane (Steve) Popelka of Clutier, Alan Lembke of Waukon, Linda Hanson of Decorah, Larry (Bonnie) Lembke of Postville and Cheryl (Dave) Brandt of Waukon; fourteen grandchildren, Cheri, Beth, Tim, Matt, Lisa, Robert, Kristi, Scott, Curtis, Dana, Evan, Craig, Jen and Jason; twenty-four great-grandchildren, and sister in-laws Marjorie Schrader and Lois Lembke. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Lembke on August 12, 2019; parents, Eldo and Fredena Schrader; granddaughter, Renee Lembke; brother, Ronald Schrader; son-in-law, Wayne Hanson; and brother-in-law Valdean Lembke.
Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona is assisting the family with services.
