MONONA — MFL MarMac sophomore Bailey Winter has been recognized as one of the top girls’ basketball players in northeast Iowa, having been named to the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association Class 2A Northeast All-District team.

Other members of the 2A Northeast All-District team included Cascade’s Nicole McDermott and Abbie Ruggeberg, Central Springs’ Kaylee Parks, East Buchanan’s Erica Hoffman, Jesup’s Emily Treptow, Maquoketa Valley’s Sam Wall, Saint Ansgar’s Elizabeth Jenkins, Sumner-Fredericksburg’s Cassidy Pagel and Wapsie Valley’s Erin Riordan. Sumner-Fredericksburg’s Kevin Bergman was voted the district’s coach of the year.
