Wetlands Center recognizes World Wetlands Day
MARQUETTE — The Driftless Area Wetlands Center Friday celebrated World Wetlands Day with a breakfast and get-together.
Center Director Alicia Mullarkey met with a small group of individuals to talk about the history of the city-owned center as well as what kind of events and programming people would like to see in the future.
“Right now we’re focusing on environmental education and making connections with people learning about wetlands and prairie and just the local habitat that we have here,” she said.
