VOLLEYBALL - Bulldogs rally, fall short at Clayton Ridge
GARNAVILLO — The MFL MarMac High School volleyball team rallied to force a fifth set, only to come up short at Clayton Ridge, 3-2, Thursday in Upper Iowa Conference volleyball play.
The Bulldogs (7-6 overall, 1-2 in the UIC) rallied to win the first set 28-26 before dropping the next two sets by 25-18 and 25-20 scores. MFL MarMac won the fourth set 25-17 but dropped the deciding fifth set 15-8.
Junior Baily Winter had a big night, unofficially leading the Bulldogs with 17 kills while Brinan Berger had 11 kills and Josie Kleinow recorded eight kills and four blocks.
