Veterans Memorial Hospital Monona Clinic opens this week

MONONA -- Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon will be opening their new Monona Clinic this week on Tuesday, Sept. 12.  

 

Dr. Andrea Venteicher will be the sole provider at the clinic until the nurse practitioner arrives in November. 

 

Venteicher, who has worked at the Gunderson Clinic in Waukon for nearly 11 years, said she is excited to come to Monona, an area she has gotten to know while working on conservation projects in the area.

 

“I guess I really like the community spirit that Monona has,” she said.

 

“It’s just a nice, clean well-kept town and it seemed like a nice place to practice.”

 

Dr. Venteicher will be bringing her family medicine practice to the community and will also work in obstetrics at the clinic. 

 

 

“I was having a lot of patients in from this area already,” she said. “I think there’s been gap in coverage in the area and I look forward to fill it.”
