UIC schools join MFL MarMac’s enrollment trend

MFL MarMac was not the only Upper Iowa Conference school to show a certified enrollment increase for the 2018-19 school year. Four other schools in the league showed a jump, some for the first time in several years.

Central, Clayton Ridge, Eastern Allamakee and South Winneshiek showed enrollment increases ranging from less than 1 percent to as much as 3 percent this year according to data announced recently by the Iowa Department of Education. All four schools showed their first jump in at least five years while MFL MarMac’s increase, which had been reported last fall, was its first in four years.

Clayton Ridge led the conference with 17-student increase (3 percent) while MFL MarMac’s 14.6-student increase amounted to 1.9 percent. Central showed a 5.5-student increase (1.3 percent), South Winneshiek a 4.8-student increase (1 percent) and the Eastern Allamakee Community School District showed a two-student increase, amounting to less than 1 percent.
