Twin no-hitters lift Bulldogs to Postville sweep

MONONA — Both junior Jordan Schubert and freshman Lauren Haberichter threw no-hitters last Wednesday as the MFL MarMac softball team picked up its first Upper Iowa Conference sweep of the season, 15-1 and 21-0 over an extremely young Postville team.

The Bulldogs (8-3) also played New Hampton Friday and split a UIC doubleheader against South Winneshiek last Monday. They hosted a doubleheader against Turkey Valley Monday.

Schubert struck out five and allowed an unearned run while evening her record at 3-3 in the opener. Haberichter fanned six in the nightcap and improved to a perfect 5-0 on the season.
