Transportation, distancing among challenges facing return to school

MONONA — Transportation and social distancing are among the largest challenges facing MFL MarMac Community School District officials as they prepare for a possible return to classrooms this fall. Those challenges and others were presented to the District’s school board Monday at its monthly meeting in the high school learning commons.

Superintendent Dr. Dale Crozier said there are seven areas of the Return to Lean plan that is being submitted to the state, including areas related to academics, leadership, data and health and safety, though one area appears that it is going to stand above the others.

“The reality of it is that by the end, in the first part of August, it’s all going to boil down to infrastructure, and infrastructure is all going to boil down to transportation” he said.
