Tornado devastates downtown McGregor

Downtown McGregor in northeast Clayton County received extensive damage from what is thought to have been an EF1 tornado that touched down early Thursday evening. Several buildings were damaged or destroyed in the storm, particularly in the downtown area, and tree damage was extensive throughout the community. Damage was also reported elsewhere in Clayton County, including in Monona where a tree fell on a home on South Page Street, and north of Farmersburg where a pair of barns were blown down.
