State Track and Field Qualifiers

The MFL MarMac girls will be well represented at this week’s state track and field meet. A pair of individuals qualified for state in three events following performances in Thursday’s state qualifying meet in Edgewood. Junior Emma Ammons was a double-qualifier, earning spots in both the shot put and discus, while junior Hannah Schutte earned a state meet bid in the 400-meter dash. The MFL MarMac boys did not advance any events to state. The state meet will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 17-19 ) at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
