No injuries reported in McGregor house fire

There were no injuries reported Thursday in a fire that damaged a home just outside McGregor. Firefighters received the call at approximately 8 a.m. to the Don Peterson home in the 30,000 block of Klein Brewery Road. The fire destroyed a garage and damaged a home that also received extensive smoke damage. Firefighters were on the scene for approximately two and one-half hours. McGregor Hook and Ladder was assisted at the scene by the Monona Volunteer Fire Department, while the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department and MacMac Unified Police Department assisted with traffic control.
