Monona, McGregor to ring in holidays this weekend

   Both Monona and McGregor will celebrate the Christmas season this weekend with community events. Monona’s event, set for Saturday, will feature a breakfast, soup supper, visits with Santa, a tour of homes, a craft and vendor fair and the annual lighted Christmas parade. McGregor will host its annual Festival of Trees Friday and Saturday with live music as well as the chance to see and bid on Christmas trees that will be up for auction.

   In addition, the Canadian Pacific Railway’s Holiday Train will make its annual stop in Marquette Sunday, featuring entertainment on the rolling stage.

   Monona Women’s Club Tour of Homes, Starts at Exit Realty, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

   Soup Supper Fundraiser, Monona Community Center, 2-8 p.m.

   Children’s Visits with Santa & Games, Monona Community Center, 3-5 p.m.

   Monona Lighted Christmas Parade, Downtown Monona, 6 p.m.

   DJ, Dance and Socialize, MJ’s Bar & Grill, Monona, 9 p.m.
