MFL MarMac presents academic awards

   MONONA — MFL MarMac High School Friday hosted its annual academic achievement assembly, recognizing students who had performed well in the classroom as well as those who had been selected leaders of various school organizations.

   Twenty-two sophomores who maintained a 3.5 grade point average during their freshman year were recognized, as were 17 juniors and 16 seniors who had 3.5 GPAs over the previous two semesters.     Following the academic awards, High School Principal Larry Meyer introduced leaders of student groups. Twelve juniors and five seniors received invitations to apply for the school’s National Honor Society chapter and Leslie Henkes spoke about the Silver Cord Learning Program while recognizing 15 students who had completed 80 hours of community service.
