MFL MarMac presents academic awards

MONONA — MFL MarMac High School Friday hosted its annual academic achievement assembly, recognizing students who had performed well in the classroom as well as those who had been selected leaders of various school organizations.

Twenty sophomores who maintained a 3.5 grade point average during their freshman year were recognized, as were 18 juniors and twenty-two seniors who had 3.5 GPAs over the previous two semesters. Following the academic awards, High School Principal Larry Meyer introduced leaders of four student groups, student council and class officers. Leslie Henkes spoke about the Silver Cord Learning Program and recognized 16 students who had completed 80 hours of community service.
