A look back at the MFL MarMac Boys’ Basketball season
The Bulldogs season ended on a slightly disappointing note but their season was good overall, according to head coach Eric Dettbarn.
In an email interview, Dettbarn thought the team had “really good year, overall.”
The team was able to win the Upper Iowa Conference title, which is the second year in a row. The team was able to go 17-6 and their season ended in the second round of the final season tournament.
Dettbarn went on to say that he was proud of the team and mentioned that five players had conference mentions: Tristen Kautman and Cade Kuenster, 1st team selections; Mason Hertrampf, 2nd team selection; Ty Hefner and Bryar Ruff received honorable mention.
Dettbarn was happy overall with the team, but if he could change one thing he would “played a little better in the tournaments.”
Overall, Coach Dettbarn is happy with the team and had this kind words for his team:
“I will really miss this group of seniors. I would like to thank each one of them for their hard work and dedication through the years.”
