HAMPTON — Lake Mills won seven of the final eight weight classes to edge MFL MarMac 37-30 in the deciding dual of the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Dual Tournament Saturday in Hampton.

The Class 1A No. 7 ranked Bulldogs (20-2) led the No. 5 ranked Lake Mills team 27-3 after five weight classes but scored just three points after that.

The loss put a damper on what was otherwise a dominating effort for the Bulldogs. They opened with a 72-3 victory over Belmond-Klemme and also defeated Hampton-Dumont-CAL 48-30, Waterloo West 58-24 and East Buchanan 75-3.
