ISU Extension leader honored at state 4-H conference

   ELKADER — A longtime leader for the Clayton County Extension has been honored for her service.

   Tammy Muller, the Outreach Youth Program Coordinator at the Extension, was presented the Meritorious Service Award during the annual Iowa 4-H staff Youth Fest Conference in Ames.

   This award honors staff members who have been in their positions for at least 11 tears and have made an impact and had outstanding accomplishments throughout their career in the 4-H program.

   According to an Extension press release, Muller is affectionately known as “4-H Tammy” by 4-H members and volunteers. She has worked with local 4-H clubs for 35 years, overseeing 35 clubs. In 2019, Clayton County 4-H had 376 members, 108 Clover Kids, and 98 volunteers.
