   MONONA — Edith Baskerville, 98, of Monona died Thursday, August 1, 2019at Aase Haugen Senior Services of Decorah. 

   Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Living Faith United Methodist Parish, Monona, Iowa with Rev. Deb Parkison as the officiant. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Living Faith United Methodist Parish, Monona, Iowa.

   Edith Leona was born on June 27, 1921 to Lee and Ruby (Pettit) Hillis in Potosi, Wis. Edith graduated from High School in Dubuque and also graduated college from University of Dubuque.

   Edith and Bill were united in marriage on December 28, 1956 at Grandview Methodist Church in Dubuque. Two children were born to this union, Carol and Bill Jr. Edith taught school in Monona and worked for Huinker Chevrolet, Monona as a bookkeeper. Edith was a member of the United Methodist Church and Women’s group for many years. She enjoyed traveling, square dancing and playing cards (Bridge, Echre and 500). Edith loved being involved in everything especially serving apples every year in the fall at Osborn, Elkader.

   Edith is survived by her children, Carol (Joe) Pinter of Ft. Atkinson and Bill (Victoria) Baskerville Jr. of Adamstown, Md.; five grandchildren, Frank, Tina, Matthew, Melissa and Zoe; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Kielley of La Crosse, Wis.

   Edith was preceded in death by her husband in 2010; her parents, and a sister, Eileen Klawitter.

   Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona is helping the family with arrangements
