Drawings detail proposed school construction projects

A pair of renderings released by the MFL MarMac Community School District late last month show proposed construction projects at both the high school and Monona elementary buildings.

Superintendent Dr. Dale Crozier wrote about the projects in a story for the School District newsletter. His comments have been reviewed by the director of the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Board and are printed in their entirety.

“The District will vote on a bond for a facilities improvement project on Tuesday, March 3, 2020,” he wrote. “The largest addition will be a fieldhouse to the west side of the high school, which will encase two full-sized courts with a walking track.  The two-court complex will convert into one full-sized competition court with bleachers that will extend from both sides.  The complex will include an entrance with a commons, locker rooms, a training room and a hallway to the main schoolhouse.
