WEST UNION — This is getting ridiculous. For the third straight time Friday night, the North Fayette Valley boys’ basketball team defeated MFL MarMac on a buzzer-beater.

The latest in the series came in West Union as TigerHawk sophomore Kole Johnson hit a bucket with 1.4 seconds left, lifting the Upper Iowa Conference leaders to a come-from-behind 59-58 victory over the Bulldogs in West Union. NFV also edged the ‘Dogs on buzzer-beaters twice last year, and the past four games between the teams have been decided by three points or less.
