Crozier named Speech Association Administrator of Year

AMES — A pair of MFL MarMac Community School District staff members were recognized earlier this month at the Iowa High School Speech Association’s (IHSSA) annual banquet in Ames.

Superintendent Dr. Dale Crozier was recognized as the group’s Fine Arts Administrator of the Year while High School English teacher and speech coach Angie Killian was recognized for her service as IHSSA Northeast District President for the past year.

Crozier was nominated for the award by both Killian and Eastern Allamakee High School’s speech coach.

“He has demonstrated that he has an interest and a desire to support the kids who are in fine arts,” Killian said. “The award is with the Iowa High School Speech Association, that’s what I was looking at, but I also have noticed him going to the musical and many of the other fine arts.”
