Corps of Engineers outlines goals of Mississippi River Master Plan revision

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. — The United States Army Corps of Engineers sought public input into an upcoming Master Plan revision during a meeting at the Crawford County Administration Building last Monday.

The plan is a core document that guides the use and development of land owned by the Corps of Engineers in and around the Upper Mississippi River. Megan O’Brien, a regional planner for the Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi Valley Northern District, said the current Master Plan was updated more than 30 years ago (in 1988) and that the current land use allocation plan was last updated in 2011.
