MONONA — MFL MarMac’s Class of 2019 has achieved great things during its long time together. Students have achieved in the classroom, in fine arts and on athletic fields. Now it is being urged to go a step further. That was the tone during commencement exercises Sunday at the high school gymnasium as the 62-member class accepted their diplomas.

“Every year young men and women leave this school district and go on to do great things and I no doubt that this class will be any different than the rest of the classes in this way,” Superintendent Dr. Dale Crozier said during his remarks.

High School Principal Larry Meyer talked about how strong a group of individuals the class is. He noted how much the world has changed since they started kindergarten in 2006.

“You have been born and educated in a technological world that was once found only in science fiction,” he said. “You play Fortnite, Twitter and tweet, you Google everything and your electronic social networking has shrunk the world. I advise you all to use that technology in a manner for which it was intended, which is to say for the benefit for one and all.”
