NATIONAL — A cancellation just more than a month before opening day of the Clayton County Fair has the Fair Board scrambling to find a new carnival.

“He financially can’t do it,” Troester said.

He said the carnival owner believed he had money lined up for the trip but that the source of that money proved to be a scam.
