Bulldogs wrap up best regular season in 20 years

MONONA — MFL MarMac wrapped up its strongest season to two decades Thursday with a three-set sweep over Kee High.

The Bulldogs (15-8 overall, 5-3 Upper Iowa Conference) also fell to South Winneshiek Tuesday. Their 15 wins are the most by an MFL MarMac team since the 1998 team won 15 matches and may tie a school record for single-season victories. This is also the first time the team has finished with a winning record since 2008.

Thursday’s match saw the Bulldogs start slow against the 4-20 Kee Hawks, as they fell behind in all three sets before Coach Kelly Winter used an early timeout.
