Bulldogs snap long streaks during opening week

MONONA — It had been 54 games over a period of more than two years since a member of the MFL MarMac baseball team hit a home run and far longer since the Bulldogs started a season with two straight wins. Both streaks ended last week as the ‘Dogs opened their season with one-sided victories over Turkey Valley and Tripoli.

            The Bulldogs downed Turkey Valley 11-2 Wednesday as junior pitchers Jackson Landt and Cedrick Drahn combined to strike out 12 Trojan hitters.
