Bulldogs had memorable 2019

MONONA — 2019 will leave with fond memories for MFL MarMac sports fans. From conference championships to state wrestling podium finishes to one of the best football seasons in school history, it was a year that left a strong impression that will be looked upon in years to come.

Boys’ Basketball

The Bulldog boys’ basketball rebounded from a rare losing season in 2017-18 to finish 12-9 and contend for the conference championship.

The Bulldogs dropped three of their first four games, including an epic five-overtime game against Edgewood-Colesburg. They won five straight games entering the holiday break but dropped three of four after the break to drop to 5-6. Four straight wins, all in conference play, pulled the Bulldogs into contention, though a five-point loss to eventual league champion Turkey Valley ended their title aspirations.
