Bulldog wrestlers seek fourth straight UIC title
MONONA -- The MFL MarMac wrestling team looks poised for another outstanding season.
With no fewer than 11 varsity returnees, including four state qualifiers, from a team that finished 25-4 in duals and won both the Upper Iowa Conference and its sectional tournament.
Bulldog coach Chet Bachman said it’s easy to feel good about what comes back, though he also warned that things can change.
“You never know where you’re going to end up because kids change in size a little bit, so that means we’re going to have to find a weight class where we’re able to compete at a high level,” he said.
Bulldog returnees accounted for more than 330 individual victories last year. Three Bulldogs won more than 40 matches and three others topped the 35-win mark.
