American Legion Auxiliary Girls State
The Drake University campus will be the location this year for the 2017 American Legion Auxiliary Girls State. These MFL MarMac juniors will join over 300 other delegates from all over Iowa at Drake on June 18-23, 2017 for a week where they will experience government coming alive through a hands-on process. The girls attending this years event will be Kennedy McShane, daughter of Galen and Alesha McShane and daughter of Heidi and Luke Corlett, and Jerica Meana, daughter of Andra Meana and daughter of Troy and Leslie Meana. Jerica is sponsored by the McGregor Pocket City American Legion Auxiliary #267, and Kennedy is sponsored by the Marquette American Legion Post #305.
